Are you an artist or a business working in the Music, Film or Digital Industries in Bristol and the South West? Wondering if the time is right to make SXSW 2011 in Austin, Texas part of your plans? If you answered Yes to either of these questions, then take note!
SXSW UK & Ireland manager Una Johnston will be coming to Hamilton House in Bristol on Friday 3rd September for a SXSW Briefing meeting coordinated by UK Trade & Investment. Una will be joined by Phil Patterson from UKTI in London who will provide an overview of the UK delegation to SXSW 2011, and by Chris Knight from UKTI South West who will provide a comprehensive picture of how to get involved if you are based in the region.
At the end of the briefing, you will understand why South by South West is an important gateway of opportunity for the UK’s music industry; Gained valuable insights into the Music Showcase Process; Picked up useful information, advice and tips on how to prepare for SXSW; Found out the latest news on UK regional and national plans to promote the UK Creative Industries at SXSW 2011, including Trade Missions, Trade Fair Stands, Networking Events and Showcases and hopefully have had most, if not all, of your questions answered!
Plus, there will be a full and up to date briefing on MIDEM which will take place in Cannes, France in January 2011, and an update on all other BMF missions and events including The Great Escape and Music South West.
