Ian James Cabaret Evening at Swindon Blunsdon House – in aid of the Prospect Hospice

The Prospect do a fantastic job and they are a self funding charity dependant upon donations from the public. They provide palliative care for people with terminal illnesses both in the hospice and the community and they also support the relatives. The Hospice has 9 beds to serve the whole of Swindon and you may, or may not have had a friend or relative who has stayed there. It is a wonderful place; a home from home for many to spend their final weeks/days. When Ian was admitted there yesterday his face lit up and for the first time in days he actually had a smile on his face. He told me that they brought in his meal and that they had put a small vase with a flower in it, this actually made his day. This is what the Hospice is all about, and more. So your support and generosity is much appreciated. If you cannot donate right now then please can you put up the attached poster or spread the word. Perhaps a company night out is an option for the Cabaret at the Blunsdon House, I believe tables for up to 12 people can be organised.

Ian’s final wish is to successfully raise money for the Hospice and in order to do this, he has done 2 things:

Made a CD – Ian is an accomplished and extremely talented pianist and he has produced a CD costing just £5.00 with £4.00 from each CD going to the Hospice. Since being admitted to GWH Swindon he has been selling CD’s from his hospital bed. Now he is too weak to do so and although the Hospice is also selling the CD’s, Ian would be so grateful if everyone could spread the word so further CD’s can be sold. CD’s can be purchased from Holmes Music, Swindon. Holmes Music are not taking any money from this, they are also organising an event on behalf of Ian which is next on my agenda.

Ian James Cabaret Evening at The Blunsdon House Hotel – this event is also to raise money for the Prospect Hospice. Ian hopes to be able to make the evening but sadly his condition is deteriorating rapidly day-to-day. Book a table for the family or for your business for an evening packed with entertainment. Tickets are £15.00 per head and include supper. The event is being held in the Garden Room, Blunsdon House, Swindon.
