BBC "My Story" Workshop
20 Oct - 20 Oct | Free
Central Librray
As part of the Central Library’s first birthday celebrations the BBC will be facilitating a FREE workshop to inspire and help people to enter the BBC’s “My Story” competition.
It will be taking place from 2pm until 5pm on Tuesday 20th October in the Old Reference Library at the Central Library.
If you are interested in attending you will need to register at the Central Library. Just phone on 01793 463238 or pop in and go to any Help point.
The campaign invites anyone 18 or over to submit their personal stories to the BBC via their website or by post (you can download a form from the site or pick up a copy of the Free “My Story” magazine from any Swindon Library. )
All stories submitted are entered into a competition, the prize of which is to see your story made into a film that will appear prime time on the BBC!
All stories submitted on the website are available for anyone to read so it’s a fantastic way of sharing your story with the nation.
The campaign is a great opportunity for ALL to share their stories regardless of ability as the stories will be judged on the interest of the story alone and not on writing ability, spelling, grammar etc. It is even fine for someone else to write up your story for you.
02.00PM - 05:00PM | Free
