WESSEX MALE CHOIR SINGS IN AID OF CIRENCESTER R.N.L.I

13 Nov - 13 Nov | £10.00

St John's Church

Charity concert at St John’s Parish Church
Saturday 13 November 2010, 7.30pm

Wessex Male Choir will ‘raise the roof’ of St John’s Parish Church at its charity concert in aid of the Royal National Lifeboat Institute.

The concert is taking place on Saturday 13 November at 7.30pm.

Rob Elliott, Musical Director of the Wessex Male Choir, said: “This promises to be a wonderful occasion and we are pleased to be supporting the Cirencester R.N.L.I. This magnificent church is an impressive setting which we hope will add to the audience’s enjoyment of the concert."

Stuart Dyer from the Cirencester R.N.L.I said, “_The R.N.L.I costs 130 million pounds a year to run and is staffed largely by volunteers. The Cirencester branch hosts many fundraising events, such as this concert by Wessex Male Choir, which are vital in ensuring the work of the Institute can continue.”_

Doors open at 7pm and tickets are priced at £10 for adults, £8 for concessions and £5 for under 16s.

The concert will also include a solo performance by the choir’s pianist who will play Chopin.

Rob Elliott added, “We are always pleased to welcome new members and are holding an ‘open rehearsal’ at the Baptist Church in Cirencester on 23 November. There is no need to book, just come along, meet the guys and see what it is all about. Or come and see us in action at the R.N.L.I concert.

Next year promises to be an exciting time for the choir as it will take part in the International Eisteddfod, so this is the perfect time for new members to join!”

For further information about the open evening at the Baptist Church, which is located in Coxwell Street (Tel: 01285 643510), visit www.wessexmalechoir.co.uk or call Rob Elliott on 07939 249021.
