true Musical theatre, singing, acting salos_swindon@hotmail.com Pat Purdy 2009-09-15T15:35:16Z <p><span class="caps">SALOS</span> (Swindon’s Premier Musical Theatre Company) are thrilled to be performing one of the best loved musicals of all time ‘My Fair Lady’.</p> <p>Often referred to as the ‘perfect musical’ the story begins on a rainy night in Edwardian London where Henry Higgins, a Professor of Phonetics, encounters Eliza Doolittle, a cockney flower girl and declares to his friend Colonel Pickering that he can transform Eliza into a Duchess. <br /> Eliza moves into the Higgins household and so begins a gruelling course of phonetics and elocution lessons so that she can speak and act like a lady.
