“Oxford have Radiohead, Bristol have Massive Attack, now Swindon have Sleeping With Giants” says Oasis keyboard player Mike Rowe. And this indie-rock 5-piece certainly have that kind of potential with the release of their debut album, Old English History, featuring Massive Attack guitarist Angleo Bruschini. Fresh from Radio 1s big weekend, Sleeping with Giants are being tipped as one of the bands to watch for 2010. Anthemic songs, intriguing lyrics and a captivating live performance are propelling this band into into the spotlight. “We’re not your typical band. For us, it’s all about getting the details right, working on the vocals in particular, and it really makes a difference for the live show”, says Robbie Richings, lead singer with the band. The attention to detail certainly has an impact with their energetic live shows, making Sleeping With Giants a must-see band over the next year. ‘Old English History’ was released on September 14th and is available from all online stores including iTunes.

Robbie is one of the most talented songwriters in the UK at the moment, and his ability is also drawing international attention. - Keys
Andy has been playing music from a very early age, his piano riffs match those of a lead guitarist thus making him a key figure in the Giants' line up. Adapting well from his Jazz piano upbringing and turning into an indie rock pianist to match any other. Lending his vocals, also, has meant this band execute a 3-part harmony with exciting results. - Sam Tray
- Bass Guitar
Has been playing guitar and bass since the age of 13. Joined the band in 2008. Using a Ibanez GSR200 and a Trace Elliot 1215 Combo. Main bass influences include; Jack Bruce, Paul Mccartney, John Paul Jones and Guy Berryman. - Jon Oborne
