Danuki is a multi-disciplinary and ensemble driven performing company based in the South-West of England. Established in 2004 by Director Dan-Alex, Danuki is dedicated to young people growing through the arts and communities coming together to celebrate the potential of their creativity, imaginations, passions, voices and opinions.

“We bring collaborators together, combining film directors with devisers, puppeteers with playwrights, sharing their expertise to create a fusion of disciplines rich in cultural diversity. Our ensemble of minds, souls, cultures and disciplines create visual performances and explosive theatre which take risks to connect with the community; inclusive and accessible theatre which has the ability to inspire the imagination and open the eyes, minds and mouths of real people”.

Danuki is passionate about young people in theatre and is dedicated to providing training and mentoring opportunies to nurture the creative growth of students. Danuki is currently based in Swindon, operating the weekly Fusion Classes for all ages to develop theatrical skills, learn from professional artists, share passions and realise their imaginations by creating their very own performances. Fusion class brings people together and inspires them to fulfil their potential. The Danuki doors are always open throughout the year and welcome all newcomers to experience the magic we create every week.

Danuki works very closely in supporting and developing drama in education around the UK; pushing boundaries and inspiring a new level of creativity in the classroom, Danuki Ensemble have worked in schools, colleges and universities across the country to motivate and enhance student theatre making by sharing new and exciting experiments and cultural forms of expressions.

We welcome you to the world of Danuki and hope to hear from you in the near future – either as a collaborating artist, a school drama department in need or a young person looking to take their first steps into the artistic craft of theatre.
