Key Clients

The Museum of Computing was the first dedicated computer museum in the UK, opening in 2003. It is a non-for-profit Company limited by guarantee and is run entirely by volunteers. The museum has a collection of over 3000 objects related to the history of computing and holds regular exhibitions and events.

The Museum aims to:
- preserve the history of computing
- be used as a valuable educational resource
- be used as an information repository for historians, collectors and the media
- illustrate this history in an entertaining way through the provision of interactive displays, interesting lectures, media events, competitions and audience participation

• Opening times are: Saturdays from 9.30am to 5 pm and Mondays from 10am to 4pm.

There is a classroom for talks, PC clinics, gaming events and school visits.

• Admission fees are:
£5.00 for a family ticket, £2 for adults, £1.50 for Students and Concessions, children age 6-15 yrs cost £1, under 5’s go free.
All children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. We welcome school parties and private groups by appointment.

Founder
Jeremy is a Partner in Clark Holt, Commercial Solicitors specialising in computer law. He has written and lectured widely on legal aspects of computing and is regarded as one of the country's leading experts in this field. He lives and works in Swindon.
Simon Webb
Curator
Simon is an independent IT consultant specialising in hand held data collection systems. His passion is for vintage computers from the 70's/80's.He lives and works in Swindon.

Pac-Man's 30th Anniversary

Members of the public were able to control a real-life version of the classic 1980s pill-popping character, which run around trying avoid giant ghosts in a huge maze in the Swindon town centre.
