Vanetta Joffe has lived in Swindon, Wiltshire, for over 35 years. During that time, as a mature student, she was awarded a diploma with distinction in Graphic Design at Swindon College, gaining grounding in a wide range of disciplines.

After several years of freelance work creating publicity material for various charities, Vanetta decided to devote as much of her time as possible to drawing, painting and working in mixed media. In 2000 she and her friend Felicia Kentridge held a successful joint exhibition of paintings at the Royal College of Pathologists.
Vanetta has participated in all the Swindon Open Studios events since inception in 2003, in the Marlborough Open Studios in 2004, and is now well established on the Swindon Art scene.

“It is so exciting and liberating to be able to paint and draw for a great part of the week. I have withdrawal symptoms when I am away from my studio, so I carry a small sketchbook with me wherever I go, and constantly sketch whatever is in front of me.
